There’s a new addition to the Dartmouth Commons.
A garden display was planted in Leighton Dillman Park, off Alderney Drive this week. The large display is in honour of Gloria McCluskey and her many years of public service.
McCluskey is the long-time councillor for Dartmouth Centre and one of the most familiar faces on Halifax Regional Council. Prior to that position, McCluskey was mayor in the former city of Dartmouth.
She announced earlier this year that she will not be re-offering in the next municipal election and will retire after 23-years in politics. She is 85-years-old.
