Man in serious condition after daytime shooting in Brampton

A man is in serious condition after a daytime shooting in Brampton.

According to Peel Regional Police, police were called to the Kennedy Road South and Steeles Avenue East area around 11:50 a.m. Sunday where they found the man with a gunshot wound.

Officers flagged down down paramedics and the man was taken to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, according to Peel Regional Paramedic Services.

Police released an update Sunday afternoon saying the man’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Investigators are looking for a male who was last seen running toward Chamney Court.
