Two people are dead at a Brampton, Ont., house in what police are calling an isolated incident.
Peel Regional Police said two people were confirmed dead around 3 p.m. Wednesday inside the home on Beaconsfield Avenue near Moffatt Avenue.
A tactical team had surrounded the residence after police received a call regarding a disturbance they called a “serious incident.” Paramedics were called in but left as there were no patients to attend to.
Police said only it was an isolated incident and that public safety was not at risk.
Const. Bally Saini said the homicide squad is investigating, with officers canvassing the area.
She said the two deceased were dead by the time police first entered the home, and that no police firearms were discharged.
Saini said the names and genders of the two dead could not be provided.
