The event will take place at Guilford Park Secondary on Monday night.

For both the organizers and the students involved, the Orlando shooting has served to underscore just how important events like this can be.

“I thought, as a society, we were better than that,” said Grade 9 student Alisa Atchison. “But I guess some of us are still uneducated about these topics and not open-minded about these things.”
