Car crashes into Giant Tiger in Saskatoon

A collision late Saturday afternoon in Saskatoon left a large hole in the wall of a west-side Giant Tiger store.

According to police, a car driven by an 83-year-old woman crashed into the Giant Tiger store located in the 100-block of Avenue F South at around 5:30 p.m. local time.

The car also struck a 51-year-old man walking in front of Giant Tiger prior to damaging the store.

Police said injuries appeared to be minor; however, both the woman and the man were taken by MD Ambulance to a Saskatoon hospital for precautionary reasons.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

No charges have been laid.
