Two of Japan‘s most iconic ghosts – Sadako and Kayako – battled it out on the baseball mound in Japan earlier this month to promote upcoming film, “Sadako vs Kayako.”

The leading stars from iconic horror movies “The Ring” and “The Grudge” appeared at a baseball field in Sapporo on June 1, ahead of a game between Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters and Tokyo Yakult Swallows.

Sadako meandered her way onto the pitcher’s mound, throwing her first pitch at 96 kilometers per hour. Kayako swings and makes a hit, only to collapse on the field. Her son Toshio, instead, runs to first base.

The two characters later spoke to reporters through an interpreter.
