Stampede Park has been transformed into everything oil and gas for the 2016 Global Petroleum Show.

This year, there are 500 fewer exhibits compared to last year and attendance is expected to be down by about 20,000 people compared to other years.

“The show is slightly smaller this year than last year given the circumstances in the industry,” Bruce Carew, vice president of DMG Events, said.

The event features 1,500 exhibits and representatives from 85 countries are expected to come. But some exhibitors are hoping to appeal to more than just those in the oil and gas industry.
