Two people were seriously injured in Saskatoon following a crash Sunday between a motorcycle and a car.

The collision happened at the intersection of 8th Street East and Grosvenor Avenue.

According to police, a motorcycle with two riders was heading east on 8th Street when the driver hit the side of a car making a left turn on to Grosvenor from 8th Street.

Both motorcycle riders, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital where they are listed in serious condition.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Traffic in the area was restricted for several hours while accident reconstruction specialists carried out their investigation.

Police say charges may be pending as they continue their investigation.
