A recall of Neilson chocolate milk products has been expanded due to possible Listeria contamination.
On Saturday, Saputo Inc. announced it was recalling bags of Neilson brand partly skimmed chocolate milk, sold in four litre bags with a best before date of June 1, 2016 in Ontario and Quebec.
However, on Sunday, that recall was expanded to include the 2-litre, 1 litre, 750 ml, 473 ml, and 237 ml cartons of chocolate milk. All of the cartons had Best Before dates up to and including June 22.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the recall was triggered by findings during an investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak. It says there have been reported illnesses that may be associated with the consumption of the product. Further lab testing is underway to confirm the link.
Food contaminated with listeria can cause vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headaches and neck stiffness.
