Parti Québécois will vote for a new leader to replace Péladeau on Oct. 7

MONTREAL – The Parti Québécois (PQ) will announce who will succeed Pierre Karl Péladeau as the party’s leader on Oct. 7.

Party president Raymond Archambault said Sunday that voting will take place by phone and Internet in the three days leading up to the announcement.

There are four declared candidates so far: Alexandre Cloutier, Jean-François Lisée, Martine Ouellet and Véronique Hivon have all said they want the job.
