MONTREAL – Police are on the hunt for at least one suspect after a shooting near a Saint-Michel restaurant Saturday night.
Several residents contacted 911 at 11:30 p.m. after hearing gunshots in the vicinity of Saint-Michel Boulevard and Legendre Street.
When police arrived on the scene they discovered several bullet holes in the windows of a local restaurant.
One suspect, wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, was seen fleeing southbound on Saint-Michel Blvd.
The canine unit was dispatched but the suspect was not found.
Luckily the restaurant was closed at the time of the shooting and no one was injured.
The owner of the restaurant is expected to meet with investigators Sunday.
