Edmonton police have charged a fifth man with first-degree in the stabbing death of 23-year-old Deng Tong.
Keith James Phillips was arrested Thursday and is facing several charges, including first-degree murder,three counts of attempted murder and three counts of aggravated assault in connection to the stabbing of two other men.

At around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 22, 2015, police were called to a weapons complaint in the area of 102 Street and 107 Avenue where two men were found with stab wounds.

The investigation led police to an apartment building one block away, where Tong was found with stab wounds.
Tong was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.

In April, Jonathan Piche was arrested in Fort McMurray in connection to the Tong’s death. Piche was charged with first-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder and three counts of aggravated assault.

Clinton Robert Kailek, 26, Billy Joe Nelson, 37, and Tyler Strathdee, 27, are also facing the same charges in connection to Tong’s death and the stabbing of the other two men.
