“I’m ready and willing to put all of my experience, my education, my background, towards making a change. I can no longer stand by and not do anything.”

Long-time Ward 6 councillor Wade Murray wished to congratulate Deiter on her announcement.

Murray is still in the process of deciding whether he will run again for the councillor position, saying 13 years is a long time, but acknowledging there is still a lot of work to be done.

Regina’s municipal election takes place October 26.
