Crash closes southbound Deerfoot Trail during Wednesday morning commute

A multi-vehicle collision caused a portion of Deerfoot Trail to be closed for over an hour on Wednesday.

Emergency crews were called to a collision involving a semi-trailer on southbound Deerfoot Trail N.E. at Airport Trail N.E. at around 8:30 a.m.

EMS said one person, a man in his 40s, was transported to the Foothills Medical Centre in non-life-threatening condition.

The crash caused the closure of southbound Deerfoot Trail until about 10 a.m.

It’s unknown what may have caused the crash, or if charges may be laid.
