A shooting in a Vancouver neighbourhood on Monday evening is still under investigation.
A man was shot and killed in a SUV in the 500-block of West 27 Ave. around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
Police were called to the scene after receiving multiple 9-1-1 calls. When they arrived they found a silver SUV on the sidewalk and the driver had been shot. There were at least 15 bullet holes in the door, plus another one in the window of the home across the street.
The victim, in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he is known to them and the shooting appears targeted, although it is too early to say if the incident was related to gang violence.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Vancouver Police.
