It’s the ice bucket challenge reimagined and is aimed at helping the people of Fort McMurray.
Davis Dodge in Fort Macleod posted a video to YouTube on May 6, kicking off something called the #Oil4Hope challenge.
“Davis Dodge is going to donate $1,000 to Red Cross in hopes that the following 10 dealerships that we (nominate) will also do the same thing. They will then nominate three other dealerships from across Canada. Our goal is to have 100 dealerships participate in this.”
The video goes on to say that individuals are welcome to take part as well – all that’s required is raising money for a good cause by pouring bottles of oil (vegetable, not motor!) over your head and catching it all on video.
Davis GMC Buick in Medicine Hat has already jumped on board.
