A Saskatoon Transit driver is Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority’s (SIGA) newest millionaire. Paul Smith won $1,314,412 by hitting the Smoke Signals mystery jackpot in Prince Albert.

Smith was elated after winning at Northern Lights Casino (NLC) on May 1.

“Oh man what a win, I didn’t know what I was going to do for retirement. Now I can pay off my mortgage and a few other debts,” Smith said.

Smoke Signals has been hit five times this year and has paid out over $7,000,000. The SIGA-wide jackpot links 52 slot machines at all six of its casinos in the province.

“It is always great to be a part of these life-changing events and to be able to see it have such a positive impact on an individual like Mr. Paul Smith,” NLC general manager Richard Ahenakew said.
