Police have recovered a beloved family pet that was stolen from his home in Cole Harbour, N.S. earlier this week.
On April 26, Homer’s owners discovered their house had been broken into and their three-year-old Boston Terrier had gone missing.

They put out a plea on social media for Homer’s return and the story was shared widely.
At around 11:45 p.m. on Friday night, RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Highway 102. Police stopped the vehicle near Brookfield and recovered Homer inside.

Two youths were arrested at the scene and it was determined the vehicle they were driving had been stolen from Kentville.

Both youths remain in custody.
Homer’s owners, Doug and Megan Hadley, posted a video of Homer happily back home on Saturday and playing with his toys.
In a Facebook post, they thanked RCMP, Halifax Regional Police, media and Colchester Animal Services for their help in bringing Homer back.
