Man sought after making racist comments, spitting in woman’s face on Toronto subway

Police are searching for a man who allegedly made “derogatory” racist comments to a woman on a TTC subway train and spat in her face in front of her daughter.

Toronto police said a woman, her aunt and her daughter boarded an eastbound train at Victoria Park station on Sunday at around 9:30 p.m.

A man who was entering the train then allegedly tried to prevent the woman and her family members from getting on.

Once on the train, police said he made racial comments directed at the woman and spat in her face before getting off the train at Main Street station.
