Second arrest made in Saskatoon armed robbery

SASKATOON – Police have a second person in custody as they continue their investigation into a Saskatoon armed robbery. On April 11, four people entered Westmount Foods in the 800-block of 29th Street and threatened an employee with a gun.

The four then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators announced on Monday that a 49-year-old man is now in custody. He is facing charges of robbery and wearing a disguise with intent to commit a robbery.

He is scheduled to appear Monday morning in Saskatoon provincial court.

Last week, police arrested and charged a 24-year-old man.
