Arrest made in Saskatoon armed robbery

SASKATOON – Police have a man in custody who they believe robbed a Saskatoon business. The armed robbery at Westmount Foods in the 800-block of 29th Street West happened on April 11.

Four people, one armed with a handgun, entered the store, threatened the employee and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Monday, police released surveillance photos of the four suspects.

A 24-year-old man was identified and arrested Monday evening.

He is scheduled to appear Tuesday morning in provincial court to face charges of robbery, possession of a prohibited weapon while prohibited to do so, faced masked or disguised and breach of a probation order.

Police continued to investigate and are still searching for two men and a woman accused of taking part in the robbery.
