MONTREAL – Two people are injured and 24 apartments had to be evacuated after a fire raged through two buildings in CDN-NDG.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Goyer Street, near Wilderton Avenue.
The fire reportedly started in the basements of the buildings.

About 80 firefighters rushed to the scene; it took about two hours to control the blaze.
Authorities found several sources for the fires and the investigation was transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
Residents were placed on buses provided by the Red Cross and two people were taken to hospital.
Police said most residents will be able to return to their homes once the investigation is complete.
Several ground floor apartments were damaged, at an estimated cost of about $100,000.
