Man facing charge of theft after underwear taken from laundry rooms

Halifax police have charged a 29-year-old man for stealing women’s clothing and underwear from apartment laundry rooms in Dartmouth.

Police say they’ve received four reports of such thefts since February 23.

On April 8, police arrested a man on Mitchell Street in Dartmouth.

The man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date to face one count of theft and possession under $5000.

Police are asking anyone who has experienced a theft from a laundry room to contact them at 902-490-5016. Anonymous tips can also be reported to CrimeStoppers online or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
