WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police are warning the public after three people overdosed on what could have been fentanyl over the weekend.
Early Sunday morning, a man and woman found unconscious in a parked vehicle on the 1300 block of Main Street, possibly suffering from a “fentanyl related overdose,” police said.

The two individuals were unresponsive before being revived, police said. However, emergency crews were able to revive both patients and they were taken to hospital.
A third person was also located nearby in stable condition.

Police are sharing this story with the hopes of drawing attention to the issue and creating awareness of a growing fentanyl problem in the city.
