A dog was discovered abandoned with duct tape covering most of its face after deputies received an anonymous call in Darlington, S.C.
Darlington County Rescue posted photos of the dog, named Aurora, which they described as “a sweet, gentle dane mix,” earlier this week.

An investigation is underway after deputies say they found the dog wandering the streets with tape covering its head and muzzle. They believe she was taped for a little over a day.
Aurora wasn’t in great shape and was diagnosed with worms and being underweight. But deputies were able to safely remove the tape.

Darlington County Sheriff’s Office has asked for anyone with information to come forward on social media. The office’s Facebook post has been shared over 10,000 times.
The dog was taken to Darlington County Animal Shelter for care and treatment and will soon be looking for a permanent home.
