Calgary police deem death of man in Beltline ‘non-suspicious’

Calgary police have completed an investigation after a man was discovered dead in the city’s Beltline neighbourhood early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 5:30 a.m. a passerby called police after he saw a man lying on the sidewalk at 2 Street and 10 Avenue S.W.

EMS soon arrived to find the body of a man in his 20s or 30s. Police had closed the City Centre Parkade on 10 Avenue as well as 10 Avenue between 2 and 4 St. S.W. earlier in the morning.

Police said Wednesday afternoon the man’s death has been deemed non-suspicious. Since it’s not a criminal matter, no further details will be released.
