A suspicious overnight fire forced hundreds of people to evacuate a Kelowna hotel.
Just after 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, fire crews responded to a report of a fire on the sixth floor of the Coast Capri Hotel.
Firefighters found heavy smoke in the top floors of the hotel and located fire in the sixth floor stairwell, on the seventh floor with extension into an eight floor mezzanine.

Hotel staff and 358 hotel guests were evacuated.
One firefighter was taken to Kelowna General Hospital for treatment of second degree burns to his hand. He has since been released. No other injuries were reported.
A damage estimate has yet to be determined. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
Guests staying in unaffected areas of the hotel were allowed back into their rooms. Arrangements have been made for guests staying in the affected area of the hotel. Guests will be assisted with retrieving their belongings from their affected rooms.
