4 men charged with first-degree murder in death of man at TCHC building

Police announced Friday they have arrested and charged four men with first-degree murder in connection to the death of a 47-year-old man found inside a Toronto community housing building in 2014.

Wasfi Ghalban was located by officers inside an apartment at 200 Wellesley Street East on Dec. 3, 2014 with signs of trauma and was pronounced dead on scene.

Police had been seeking two persons of interest captured on security video inside the building two days prior to the homicide.

Investigators say the victim was a Toronto resident who appeared to have been operating a tattoo and piercing shop on Yonge Street.

The accused have been identified as Philip Frauts, 40, of Toronto, Kyle Schindermann, 31, of Toronto, Christopher Fuller, 33, of Richmond Hill and Lance Burkhard, 33, of Richmond Hill.
