Amateur video captured an incredibly close call for one California woman after a massive tree branch came crashing down onto her car as she happened to be driving by.
Tracy Courtney said she was driving on J Street near 33rd Street in Sacramento, Calif., Monday evening when disaster struck.
“I heard this massive crack and all of a sudden the whole car started getting dark and I see leaves and branches,” Courtney told KCRA News in Sacramento.
Courtney just happened to be driving along the road near where the massive tree branch was beginning to creak precariously in front of a chain link fence near the sidewalk.

A local lawmaker says he first heard the cracks and groans from the tree and looked to alert other motorists.
“I was walking down J Street, and walking past this big Sycamore tree and I hear a crack while I (was) walking by it,” state Sen. Andy Vidak said.
Just as Courtney passed the tree, the massive branch snapped off and fell to the street below – right where her car, still moving slowly past the tree, happened to be.
“Had it come down with a little more force, it might have come through the windshield and no telling what might have happened. I’m very lucky,” Courtney said.
No one was hurt in the close call, and Sacramento police were able to clear the street and reopen it to traffic a couple hours later.
