Throat slashing sends man to Saskatoon hospital

SASKATOON – A man is recovering in a Saskatoon hospital after his throat was slashed. Police were called to the 500-block of Avenue X South just before 6 a.m. CT Friday.

Officers arrived to find a 19-year-old man suffering from a slash wound to his throat. He was taken to hospital by paramedics. Police believe his injuries are non-life threatening.

A 19-year-old woman was taken into custody.

Members of the target enforcement and forensic identification units are investigating.
