A Nova Scotia Supreme Court judge is finally scheduled to hand down a sentence in a high profile manslaughter case.
Nearly four years after Andre Noel Denny killed Raymond Taavel outside a bar on Gottingen Street, he will find out Thursday how much time he will spend in prison.

Denny pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the beating death of Taavel, which happened in April of 2012
At the time of the killing, Denny had been out of a psychiatric facility in Dartmouth without permission. He was originally charged with second-degree murder, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge.
