A 34-year-old man is dead after police say he was ejected from his vehicle and then struck by a second vehicle in Fort Erie.

Ontario Provincial Police say the man’s vehicle was travelling westbound on Highway 3 around 1:15 a.m. Saturday when he lost control and it started to roll, throwing him onto the road.

Some time later a second vehicle struck him.

His name hasn’t been released but police say he was from Port Colborne.

No one else was injured in the crash, which closed the highway for several hours.
