Dale Levitski, ‘Top Chef’ contestant, arrested on suspicion of DUI

American executive chef Dale Levitski, who appeared on Season 3 and the All-Stars version of Top Chef as a contestant, has been arrested on suspicion of DUI in Nashville, Tenn.

Levitski, 42, approached a sobriety stop on Friday morning, and police officers claimed they could smell alcohol coming off of him. (The traffic stop was set up for St. Patrick’s Day revellers.)

Officers administered a sobriety test and they found Levitski showed multiple signs of impairment, according to the affidavit filed. He failed a breath test —his blood alcohol level was .092.

The police said Levitski told them he knew “he should not have driven due to St. Paddy’s Day.”

Levitski was booked into a Nashville jail at 2:20 a.m., and posted bail just before 10:30 a.m.
