The Toronto Transit Commission is reviewing an incident whereby a bus allegedly struck a scooter traveling on Queen Street East on Wednesday.
Dashcam video of the crash posted on YouTube shows a rider attempting to pass the bus on the right lane when a scooter was purportedly struck, hopped the curb and ended up on the sidewalk.
The video appears to show the bus driver signaling prior to the scooter turning into the right lane.

According to the video post, the incident happened around 6 p.m. west of Woodbine.
“The incident was reported by the operator, the bus held and police attended,” said TTC spokesperson Brad Ross.
Some on social media blamed the rider for the risky manoeuver.
“You can see the bus signalling. And you then accelerate to be beside the bus?,” commented N Fitz.
Others expressed outrage that no one bothered to help the rider.
“The scooter driver is in the wrong, but didn’t anyone assist? Cold world we live in,” wrote Karin Wyman.
