SIAST and the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees’ Union (SGEU) have finalized two collective agreements.
The Professional Services bargaining unit signed off on a contract last week that will see its members receive a 5.5 per cent increase over three years, along with an additional 1 per cent to suit the Western Canadian Average.
Last month, the Academic bargaining unit signed its contract, giving instructors a 5.5 per cent increase over three years with instructors at the lower end of the pay scale receiving addition increases of three to eight per cent.

Both contracts are set to expire at the end of this month.
The finalization of the Academic contract comes as a new group tries to displace SGEU as its bargaining agent.
At least 45 per cent of current bargaining unit members signed cards in support of having the SIAST Faculty Association (SFA) replace SGEU.
The Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board ordered a vote, which took place last week.
There is no word on when the results of that voted will be released.
