WINNIPEG — Southern Manitoba is getting doused with some spring-like rain, which is washing away a lot of the winter snow and dirt on streets and boulevards.
It’s also causing street flooding around the city. On Tuesday morning Academy Road, just south of Wellington Crescent, had nearly two feet of water pooling in the street.
By Wednesday morning, the rain will likely turn to snow with cooler temperatures on the way. Close to 2 cm of snow is expected here in Winnipeg.
Winds will also pick up out of the northwest with gusts up to 50 kilometres an hour.
