First it was a strange, sharp-toothed, sea creature that looked like something out of a horror movie. Now it’s a black gooey thing that looks like a creature from The Blob.

According to the Mexican site 24 Ores, the blob was more than four metres long, but didn’t emit any sort of odour.
After some investigation, bones were found within the heap leading Mexican authorities to believe that it could be the remains of a whale or giant squid and that it could have washed up due to bad weather in the area.

There is some speculation that the head could belong to a sperm whale.
