MONTREAL – Escaped convict Sylvain Lauzon was apprehended by Montreal police at approximately 10 a.m. on St. Catherine St.
Lauzon, 43, had been at large since March 1, after he escaped from the Archambault Institution.

He is serving a 10 month sentence for robberies.
He will appear before the St. Jerome court house on Thursday to face charges for his escape.

Correction Services Canada is investigating the circumstances of his escape.
