R.E. Mountain Secondary was initially locked down after a complaint was received at 8:45 a.m. Police attended immediately and located a man matching the given description.

He has been apprehended under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital. Police have now spoken with the original complainant and confirmed the man seen was behaving strangely. He did have a lighter in his possession that may have been mistaken for a gun.

Langley RCMP thanks the Langley School District for its cooperation.
