Halifax police say they’re investigating an alleged sexual assault last week on a Halifax Transit bus.

Police say they received a complaint on Feb. 25 from a female passenger who said she’d been sleeping and awoke to find a male passenger touching her in a sexual manner over her clothes.

The suspect is described as being about 5’8″ tall, slim and had a tattoo that appeared to be of a name on the left side of his neck. He also had three piercings on his left ear.

He was reported to be wearing a green wind breaker, blue jeans and tan work boots.

The woman was riding on a Route 4 bus, headed toward the Lacewood terminal. The man got off the bus on Joesph Howe Drive and police don’t know where he went.
