WATCH: Oak Park Raiders claim high school hockey crown

WINNIPEG — The Oak Park Raiders are the champions of the Winnipeg High School Hockey League. The Raiders won the division one city championship with a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Vincent Massey Trojans in the third and deciding game of the finals.

Marcus Sekundiak led the way for Oak Park with two goals in the clincher. Charlie Ringland scored the other goal for the Raiders.

Jack Cowell and Jared Bucci scored for the Trojans in a losing effort.

It’s the first city championship for the Raiders in school history. Oak Park has also won three provincial titles in AAAA hockey including just last season.

Both teams advance to the AAAA provincial championships March 11-14 in Winnipeg.
