RCMP in Banff are investigating an alleged assault in an alley early Wednesday morning.
An altercation was reported between a victim and an unknown suspect around 1:40 a.m. in the west alley of the 200-block of Banff Avenue.

Police said that the suspect fled the scene northbound up the alley toward Wolf Street. The victim was taken to the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital for treatment.
A description of the suspect based on surveillance footage has been released. Police are looking for a man with brown hair and short facial hair, who is approximately 5’8” tall. He was wearing a blue and white hoodie, khaki pants and speaks with a French accent.
