TORONTO – While most of the media hype at the French Open this past weekend centered on Rafael Nadal, Canada’s Daniel Nestor quietly added another title to his long list of accomplishments.
Nestor now holds more men’s doubles tennis match wins than any active player in the world. He and his partner Max Mirnyi of Belarus won a second consecutive French Open doubles title by beating American twins Bob and Mike Bryan 6-4, 6-4 on Saturday.
Nestor is still in Europe getting ready for his first grass court tournament at the AEGON Classic and prepping for Wimbledon.
Global News profiles the Canadian tennis player, who now has the 78th overall title of his career, and shows no signs of slowing down as his 40th birthday approaches in September.
