SASKATOON – A fire early Tuesday morning forced the evacuation of a Saskatoon apartment building. When firefighters arrived at 1300-block of 20th Street West, there was smoke coming from a second storey balcony and people were leaving the building.

Crews went inside and found a fire smoldering in a mattress, most of which had already been put out by the sprinkler system. Firefighters hosed down the remaining fire.
