Car clocked going 193 km/h on Circle Drive

A man is facing a hefty fine after police nabbed him going more than 100 km/h over the speed limit on Circle Drive. File / Global News

SASKATOON – A driver now has a hefty ticket to go along with his heavy foot. Police say they clocked the Saskatoon man doing more than double the speed limit on Circle Drive last Friday evening.

The Cadillac CTS was spotted by a member of the traffic unit traveling at a high rate of speed on the Circle Drive South Bridge near Valley Road.

The officer’s equipment recorded him going 193 km/h in the 90 km/h zone.

The 41-year-old was given a $775 speeding ticket.
