The White House has been spreading the word about the upcoming event via social media using the hashtag #WHSocial. However, the chance to apply will be over soon: The deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Those selected for the event or placed on a wait list will be notified by Friday, Feb. 26. If you nab a spot you are required to find your own way to D.C. for the ceremony.

People online seem pretty pumped about the whole thing:

Along with the welcome ceremony, attendees can take part in a discussion with Obama administration officials.

The invite is aimed at people who regularly engage with the White House social media accounts.

“This event is designed for people who regularly interact with the White House via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, and Snapchat. Registration is open to those who are active users on these social media platforms.”

The White House has hosted similar events in the past: a Twitter town hall with the president, a Let’s Move! tweetup for the First Lady’s garden harvest, a United Kingdom arrival ceremony tweetup, and multiple White House InstaMeets.
