WINNIPEG — Nicholas Bell-Wright, 22, is charged with second-degree murder in the Cooper Nemeth homicide. He made his first court appearance Monday morning via video from behind bars at the Remand Centre.
His lawyer and prosecutors have agreed to hold another hearing March 4, where he could possibly apply for bail.
Bell-Wright was on probation at the time of the murder, according to court documents.
The 22-year-old was arrested Sunday morning after police believe they found Nemeth’s body dumped in a bin.

Bell-Wright was questioned earlier this week by police, but released on Friday. He is linked to the house on 15 Treger Bay that detectives were investigating on Friday evening. He is currently in custody.
Seventeen-year-old Cooper Nemeth was last seen leaving a house party on Feb. 13.
The medical examiner’s office is working to make an official identification.

Police believe the crime was drug related, but are not saying more than that.
