2 charged after Saskatoon police seize $4K in stolen goods

SASKATOON – Two men are in custody and police say they have seized over $4,000 in stolen goods after a bust early Monday morning in Saskatoon. Officials say many of the items recovered are linked to a break and enter at a tire business in the north end of the city over the weekend.

Among the items seized from the home in the 200-block of Albany Crescent in the city’s Lawson Heights neighbourhood were over two dozen tires and rims. A 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, believed to have been used in the thefts, was also seized by police.

A 34-year-old man has been charged with two counts of break and enter and four counts of breaching a conditional sentence order.

A 23-year-old man is also facing two break and enter charges along with four counts of breaching an undertaking.

Both are scheduled to appear Monday before a justice of the peace.

Police continue to investigate.
