RCMP are looking for a man who was allegedly impersonating an alarm system seller in Cole Harbour earlier this week.
Around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a man claiming to be a salesperson for an alarm company knocked on the door of a home in the area. He tried to sell an ADT alarm system to the homeowner, who felt the man was not a legitimate employee of the company.
The homeowner contacted police after hearing similar reports.
The Mounties said they received a similar report that occurred in the same neighbourhood.
The suspect is described as a white male between 20 and 25 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and curly blond hair, and he was wearing a red ball cap and blue jeans.
RCMP are asking anybody with information to contact their local police force or Crime Stoppers.
