Saskatchewan father and son win $1 million Lotto Max prize

SASKATOON – A father and son plan to use their $1 million winnings to make life better for themselves and their family. Curtis Hofer and his father James Hofer are the latest Lotto Max winners in Saskatchewan.

“I kept taking a step one way, then taking a step the other way,” Curtis said in a news release. “I had to take a lap around the store to get myself together.”

The Goodsoil, Sask. resident called his dad to tell him he may be holding a million-dollar lottery ticket.

“All I could say was, ‘Well, I sure hope you are!'” James said in the release.

Curtis said the money will allow him to help his father on the farm.

The winning Saskatchewan Lotteries ticket was purchased at Larry’s Place in Goodsoil.
